They clean up nice!

One thing the girls both equally enjoy is the bath. I think they even have a secret contest to see who can give mom the biggest soaker! Most nights I may as well join them as I end up as wet as they are. Tonight Raegan was helping out Ryleigh by rinsing the soap off her back. Most nights it is usually Ryleigh who likes to see how many cups of water she can dump on Raegan's head before she is told to stop.

Daddy's Little Girl

Ryleigh LOVES her Daddy! Of course they both do but Ryleigh has a special relationship with Dad because she became his little buddy once news came of a sibling on the way. She enjoys going to his work with him and pretending to drive all the equipment. If she had a choice I think she would even go to work with him on a daily basis. Some nights when Daddy is home early she likes to put on all his work gear and stomp around in his boots pretending she is him. Who knows she may become his apprentice one day!

TGIF

Today we had a pajama party and a teddy bear picnic with our daycare friends, Faith, Josh, and Maddie. Everyone brought their soft "best friend" of course, with Pooh bear and Cardigan being 2 VIP's in this house, this was a very important part of the plan. I myself, love ANY excuse to wear pj's so that was just an added bonus. Throughout the day we read everyones favorite bedtime story and sang songs like "Teddy bear picnic". The kids seemed to really enjoy it and I must admit I had a good time too. It was a nice way to end the week.

Raegan's birthday party

Well the party is over and it was a lot of fun. Thanks to all who came! Raegan enjoyed her first taste of cake! She was not too sure about it at first but then she dove right in! There was no choice but to have a bath immediately afterwards. It is now 6:45 p.m. and the birthday girl is sound asleep - she had a big day!

The BIG Day!

Today is Raegan's 1st birthday party! We are expecting our guests to arrive at 2 p.m. Daddy is keeping the girls occupied while Mommy gets things ready. I caught them having a snack on the recliner.

Our Valentines

The girls (well Ryleigh anyway) were so excited for Valentines Day! Ry spent the night (who am I kidding - week) before making Valentines for all her friends! She very carefully chose the most special Valentine for each person. The girls spent the day with Faith and Josh, their daycare friends and went for a walk with our other neighbourhood friends. We made heart shaped cards using hand prints and paint, ate cupcakes that Faith and Josh's mom had made, and even decorated and ate Valentines cookies. Daddy came home early and the family went out to dinner. It was a great day!

Raegan

Our little Roo (Raegan) will turn 1 on Monday. Boy - does time fly! It is hard to believe she has been in our lives for a whole year. She has started to take a few steps. Sometimes cautious, and other times almost a running dive into our arms. She is VERY proud of herself and even repeats "good girl" after we say it to her. I'd rather hear that then the usual "Dora, Dora, Dora" we often hear from her. Yes, it seems as though we have another Dora fan on our hands. So after thinking we are finally away from it we are hosting our 4th - yes 4th, Dora birthday party! Surely one of them will change their minds by next year!

Ryleigh

Our Ryleigh loves to make believe. One of her favorite things to do is dress up and pretend that she is a princess. She puts on her gown and twirls, and twirls, and twirls. Makes your stomach turn just watching her.
She is a very smart little girl and picks up quickly on things. Tomorrow she is going "solo" for the first time to a birthday party. Tonight she helped make a card and even addressed it and signed it herself. She works really hard on her letters and often asks to do them on her board by herself. She makes us so proud.

Keeping in touch....

I know it is hard these days to share all the news and stories we have with everyone around us. Saw a blog someone else had started and thought - hey! I can do that! I'll post some pictures of the girls, share Ryleighism's, and as her 1st birthday is soon approaching - I'm sure the Raeganism's will begin in no time!
So join us, relax, read, and enjoy!
