A summer visit to Santa!

Today - out of the blue - we decided to head up to Santa's Village to squeeze in a last little bit of summer fun! The girls had a blast, although neither one of them had any interest in the man himself! I didn't have my camera on me...(shock!!) but I did take some pics of our little eleves once we got home (and yes they are both filthy - like I said - they had a blast!). This week will be spent packing and getting Ryleigh ready for school (the 11th) so it was good to have a nice family day before the madness begins!!!

Build a Bear and Nascar Speedway

Today we took the girls to the Vaughn Mills Mall. They went and made their own teddy bears at Build a Bear. Ryleigh now has a new friend "Missy", and Raegan's new friends name is "Patches". They began by picking their bear, then had it stuffed, made a wish on a heart, put it inside, and had the bear stitched up. Next we went to the fluffing station, where they blow air on the bear and you use a brush to "primp" them. After that we got to dress the bears. Raegan chose a simple robe, and Ryleigh picked a skirt, shirt, and of course, Crocs! At the end of it all they named the bears and had birth certificates printed up. Very cute! They enjoyed it.
Next we found the Nascar Speedway, and were surprised to see that there were rides there that were the perfect size for Ryleigh - she was thrilled! Unfortunately I had forgot to put the card in my camera so we only managed to capture a few pics!
The day was supposed to end at Chuck E Cheese but we wore the little lady out and she was in desperate need of a nap. All in all a fun day!

Fun at the fountains

Yesterday we went down to the waterfront in Barrie to let the kids play in the fountain. Ryleigh was the only one who enjoyed them, Raegan would not even go near them.
We also got our windows and doors yesterday. Now the house is locked up so the next time we see it will probably be when it's all finished:o(

We've got shingles!!

And it looks as though the brick will be going on soon as well! I think the windows go in tomorrow if things are still on schedule. I am trying to post pictures of the house on all angles to describe what you're looking at but I can't figure out how to get the words in between. Anyway, another time I guess! Ryleigh pick up some roller skates at the kids store today. What a terrible idea. She made it just to the corner after falling twice and holding onto me the rest of the way before she wanted to take them off. I think we'll be "losing" these soon.

This and that....

Sorry that the posts didn't keep going last week. The roof was done by the end of Wednesday but we were on the go so much last week that we didn't get a chance to take a picture and post it....so here we are now.
It looks like the shingles will be going on this week - as you can see the bundles are on the roof already. We also saw the plumber there quite a bit but haven't been in to see the progress inside.
Our weekend was pretty action packed. Two birthday parties yesterday and then family pictures today. Its now 7:30 and both girls are in bed....ahhhh...quiet time for mom and dad, and I would imagine an early night for us as well. Reid has to be in St. Catherines by 7 am, so its up and at 'em early for him!

What a difference a day makes!

Since pics were taken yesterday they have added the second storey and the garage! Ry and I went after ball tonight and peeked in the windows! It's just flying up which Rooster says is normal but I still find it very impressive!

Our new house!

Well the building has begun at our new house. The first level is framed and the subfloor of the second level is on as well. It is neat to live so close and see the daily progress. On Thursday we went out in the morning and it was only the subfloor, and when we got home 1.5 hours later there were four walls! Exciting!

The first picture is of the front of the house, the second is to show a bit more of the lot, and the third is the view from the end of our current driveway, of the new house!
